
Members of the neighborhood association's beautification committee, Seth Conely, Amy Bryson, and Brian Huffine, are pushing for the installation of a roundabout at Gallatin Pike and West Eastland Avenue. The proposed reconfiguration is designed to address the traffic problems at the disjointed intersection and to add some green space to a predominantly paved area.
"The West Eastland roundabout we feel would not only beautify the area, it will insure us safer walk ability to the grocery stores on the other side of Gallatin Avenue," Huffine said.

That would be a great idea! I ride my bike through that intersection on my way back from the Shelby greenway and it's a sacry proposition.
